Sen. Barack Obama's wife, Obama Michelle, will be in Pontiac and Detroit on Wednesday, the same day presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain begins a two-day swing through Michigan.
The Michelle Obama event "A Discussion with Michigan Women” will be held at the Crofoot at 1 South Saginaw in Pontiac, with doors opening at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday. It’s free and open to the public, but space is limited. So tickets are required.
Tickets will be available Tuesday – on a first-come, first-served basis at the Crofoot until they run out.
For security reasons, do not bring bags to the event and no signs or banners will be permitted.

McCain flies into Michigan on Wednesday evening and plans a town hall meeting in metro Detroit on Thursday. Details of that visit aren't available yet. It will be McCain's first visit to Michigan since early May and comes on the heels of an advertising blitz being paid for by the Republican National Committee taking aim at Obama's energy policy.
